Serving through Action
Bianca co-leads an education policy fellowship primarily focused on state and federal public policy development. The experiential program is designed to expand knowledge of public policy, analysis, design and implementation.
Vaccine Clinics & Free Well Child Clinics
The first large scale youth COVID 19 vaccine clinic in the ISD 196 area was held at Easter by the Lake in Eagan. Bianca drove this effort after seeing that none were planned in the area. She has been the force behind getting thousands of people vaccinate. Eventually, these vaccine clinics began to offer free well child exams and sports physicals in order to get kids caught up routine vaccines.
Caregiver Employee Resource Group
Bianca was the genesis behind the formation of the Hennepin County Caregivers Employee Resource Group. Her work laid the foundation for it's inception.
Medicaid in Schools was a project idea Bianca brought forth as part of the Humphrey Policy Fellow program. Along with fellows in her cohort, they were able to support the passage of the most recent legislative changes around billing.
In August, after seeing firsthand a need for more mental health supports, Bianca stood up a fundraiser to provide Care Kits (coping/grief bags) to students impacted by the wildfires in Maui.
Lego League
Bianca started the first Lego League team at Deerwood elementary and grew the program from one team to three.
Mask Drive
In collaboration with community partners, Bianca helped spearhead a mask drive. She personally sewed hundreds of masks for donation.
In March of 2023, Bianca's letter to the editor in support of universal schools meals was published in the Star Tribune.
